Minimum requirements

1. A relevant engineering degree or 3 years approved course of aircraft maintenance engineering with BAMEL / BAMEC. “Relevant engineering degree” means an engineering degree from aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionic or other studies relevant to the maintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft / aircraft components. 2. 10-12 Years of experience in Aviation Industry. 3. Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices. 4. A Comprehensive knowledge of: a. Relevant parts of operational requirements and procedures; b. Operator’s Operation Specification, when applicable. c. The relevant parts of Operations Manual, where applicable. 5. Knowledge of Quality System. 6. Knowledge on CVR, FDR readout (Preferable) 7. Thorough knowledge with the GEPL – CAMO Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition and CAR-145 requirements.

Key Responsibilities
1. Monitoring that all CAR-M functions are being performed in accordance with the approved procedures. 2. Monitoring that all Maintenance tasks are carried out i.a.w. the signed contracts through bi-annual audits. 3. Monitoring that the organisation is in continued compliance with the requirements of CAR-M, Sub-Part G and all continuing airworthiness management shall be carried out according to the prescriptions of M.A Subpart C of CAR-M. 4. Correspondence with DGCA with respect to Quality Matters. 5. Ensuring that all continued airworthiness documentation is used properly. 6. Assessing the efficiency of the continuation management procedure created / amended by CAM and validating the same before issuing / amending procedure manual / circulars. 7. Performing or organise periodic independent Quality Audit on Continuing Airworthiness procedure in respect of each product line and inform findings to responsible persons for corrective and preventive action. 8. Ensuring that all corrective and preventive action complied for eliminating non-compliance is satisfactory and meets the intended purpose. 9. Monitoring of Sub-Contracted activities (if any) 10. Review and implementation, of DGCA requirements with reference to Continuing Airworthiness Management. 11. Perform audit on Maintenance facility with respect to the scope of the contracted work to ensure airworthiness of the aircraft. 12. Will confirm that the contracted Organisation has sufficient qualified personnel who are trained and competent in the functions to be contracted. 13. Will ensure that the aircraft is taken to an appropriately approved maintenance organisation whenever is necessary. 14. Will review and implement, as appropriate, of any additional national regulatory requirements. 15. Will Establish a Quality Monitoring Programme which addresses all of the areas of the contracted maintenance support. 16. Will ensure that the Quality System required by Part M.A. 712 is effective in its application and any follow up actions required to address findings are completed. 17. Preparation and review of PIB’s and conduct safety meetings and audits. 18. Reporting any major occurrences / defect of a maintenance nature to the DGCA and the aircraft manufacturers. This includes both Mandatory Occurrences and occurrences related to maintenance findings, which fall outside the mandatory scheme and investigation where required. 19. Ensuring that six months periodic management review meetings is conducted to appraise the organisation’s level of statutory compliance including CAR-M requirements to the AM. 20. QM when performing audits shall not be involved or responsible for CAMO functions. A report of audits carried out must be made to the accountable manager, so that appropriate corrective measures can be taken if deemed necessary. 21. Monitoring of Contracted 145 Stores control. 22. To ensure all maintenance conditions are adhered as per maintenance contract. 23. Training of CAMO personnel and maintenance of all such training records.
